Tab Trade - What Traders Should Know

TabTrade — The Short Version

TabTrade went live in March 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker.

His background matters. It suggests the leadership knows how a proper broker operates. Does not guarantee anything. But more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.

TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.

What you can trade: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. Over 1,000 instruments. For a broker that is a few months old, that coverage is solid.

The Software

You get: MT5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Both platforms from a single account. Most brokers pick one platform. Access to both is useful. Pick what suits your style.

MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, huge user base. If you have used MetaTrader previously, you know exactly what you are getting.

cTrader is the more modern one. Better depth of market. Faster charting. cBot support. Many people find it more natural after using both.

FIX API is offered for automated strategies but needs the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView is said to be on the roadmap. That will make the platform set once it is live.

Accounts and Pricing

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. No commission. Simple. No minimum deposit. Works for people who want simple pricing.

Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is frequently a fraction of a pip. So your all-in cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is good for an offshore broker. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level want $500 or more to open. This broker does not.

VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, tailored rates. Not relevant to most retail traders. Skip it unless you move real size.

How Fast Are the Fills

The execution is the thing TabTrade separates from most new launches. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. The average platform quote hundreds of milliseconds.

Does this affect you? If you trade small timeframes, yes. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. What matters is the infrastructure is there. That is something about priorities.

Combine those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the overall offering holds up. Hardly anyone in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.

The FSRA Question

Now, the thing that requires honesty. Tab Trade is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is tier-3. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a problem for you, look elsewhere. There are FCA-regulated options out there.

That said. The founder spent years at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The server placement costs real money. Scam brokers do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. None of this guarantee anything. It does factor into your assessment.

The deal: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether this deal works comes down to your priorities.

The Bonus

Tab Trade offers a welcome bonus of up to $2,000. Typical deposit match. You fund your account, the broker credit extra capital. Usual conditions attached: trading volume requirements before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before funding.
