TabTrade.com - The Honest Breakdown

Tab Trade — The Short Version

TabTrade went live in March 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.

The BlackBull connection tells you something. It says the person running this knows how a proper broker operates. Does not guarantee anything. Still preferable to a founder with no industry background.

They launched with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same facilities prime brokers run on. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.

Market coverage: FX, indices, metals, commodities, shares, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For a platform that is a few months old, that coverage is solid.

What You Trade On

Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both platforms from a single account. A lot of brokers pick one platform. Getting both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.

MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, huge user base. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform before, you know exactly what you are getting.

cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better DOM. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. Many people find it more natural once they try it.

Direct FIX connectivity is offered for bots but needs the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is apparently coming. That will be a good addition when it lands.

What You Pay

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. Commission-free. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Works for beginners.

Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is often a fraction of a pip. Meaning your real cost can be under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that have spreads this tight require a minimum deposit. This broker requires zero deposit.

VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not something typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume.

How Fast Are the Fills

The execution is the thing this broker stands apart. Equinix data centres. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. The average platform quote 100ms to 300ms.

Does it matter? If you scalp, yes. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, you will not notice. But the fact that the setup is serious. That says what kind of broker this is.

Put together that execution speed with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and what you get makes sense. Few brokers at this price point run Equinix connectivity.

Safety

Here is the part that matters. Tab Trade is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.

However. The person running it spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in proper execution infrastructure. This does not guarantee anything. It does factor into how you think about it.

The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether the trade-off is worth it depends on you.

Deposit Bonus

Tab Trade has a deposit bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Usual deposit match. You put money in, TabTrade top up your balance. The normal fine print: trading volume requirements before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Review the fine print before funding.
